Haynes Printing CompanyHAYNES PRINTING COMPANY

Haynes Printing began in 1950, an entrepreneurial enterprise to express the journalistic ambitions of Ed Haynes. He wanted to publish a fledging newspaper, The Cobourg Times; one of Ontario's first papers produced using a photo offset press. Over 50 years, we've changed our name, grown in size, modernized our equipment many times and embraced the digitization of the graphics industry. Throughout all the changes to the graphics industry, we have maintained our view that whether colour correcting photos, designing layouts, selecting type, operating the presses or binding books, printing is ultimately a craft.

"Not always the cheapest - but invariably the best." This slogan, paraphrased from John Rankin, has been the watchword of Haynes Printing.

We have been involved in the publication of a profusion of hard and soft cover books, many of them local histories. To mention some: Hans Waltimeyer, by Jane Goddard; Belleville on the Bay, a photographic celebration; Coal to Canada, by Ted Rafuse; Cobourg, Sesquicentennial; Let Us Remember, by Percy Climo.
